Patchnote v1.0.4

Version 1.0.4 was released on 2026-07-16. The installed version can be checked on the title screen.

AreaBefore the updateVersion 1.0.4 result
OpportunityThicket Visgo could remain underground when certain attacks hit during its digging animation. The underground-stuck condition is fixed.
Event scenesUnder specific equipment conditions, the player character could fail to display correctly in some event scenes. The equipment-dependent display failure is fixed.
Original SinAfter quest completion, the screen could remain black when the selected partner was anyone other than Iori, Zash, or Argo. The partner-dependent black screen is fixed.
Enemy phase transitionsA phase transition could fail after an enemy reached 0 HP and its Break Marker was destroyed. The 0-HP and Break Marker transition failure is fixed.

The developer also lists several unspecified minor fixes; GameDB does not infer mechanics from that catch-all line.

In Summons, after removing the barrier to the boss area, the game may rarely remain on a black screen after the enemy introduction. Normally, the screen fades back in and combat starts within a few seconds after the sequence finishes or is skipped.

Until the developer ships a fix, use the published workaround:

  1. Exit the game from the platform’s system menu.
  2. Restart the game.
  3. If you exit before HP reaches 0 while the issue is active, the developer says Death Game Mode will not delete the save.

Opportunity boss stateCertain unnamed attacks connect while Thicket Visgo is in the digging animation. The announcement does not identify the attacks, so the wiki does not guess which weapon or skill caused it.FixedInstall 1.0.4; no workaround is listed.
Event-scene character renderingSpecific equipment conditions could prevent the player character from displaying. The affected equipment is not named.FixedInstall 1.0.4; treat other scene-rendering problems as separate reports.
Original Sin completionQuest completion with a selected partner other than Iori, Zash, or Argo could leave the screen black.FixedInstall 1.0.4. The fix is scoped to this completion state and partner condition.
Enemy phase transitionThe affected transition could fail when HP reached 0 and the Break Marker was destroyed. The announcement does not name the enemies.FixedInstall 1.0.4; the note does not change Break Marker mechanics or damage values.
Summons boss introductionAfter the boss-area barrier is removed, the post-introduction fade may rarely fail.Known issue; still under investigation in the July 16 noticeExit through the platform system menu and restart before HP reaches 0.

Version 1.0.4 is a corrective update, not a balance-data announcement. The official note publishes no changes to HP, attack values, rewards, drop rates, equipment statistics, partner abilities, Break Marker thresholds, or quest objectives. Existing database values therefore remain in force until a source explicitly changes them.

For a clean version check, reach the title screen and confirm Ver. 1.0.4 before loading a save. The update notice asks players to install the newest file before continuing an adventure. If Summons fades back into combat normally within a few seconds, no workaround is needed. If the black screen persists, use the restart sequence above instead of waiting for the character to reach 0 HP.

The announcement’s “other minor issues” line contains no enumerated mechanics. It is recorded as an unspecified maintenance category and is not used to rewrite any quest, boss, equipment, or combat record.
